Flaps are cut to shape as you make up each handbag. Keep them simple and rectangular, make easy triangles, or use your imagination and stitch some groovy curves. You can decorate with buttons to close the flaps. You could also change the shape of the hand appliqued handles. In my sample I have made three handbagz which have a “secret” compartment - just like a real one!
