The circles are rotary cut using a small rotary cutter and a set of purchased circle templates. The bias grain on both the backgrounds and the circles make it easy to machine stitch. The mohair circles also have a circle of batting underneath to fill and push them forward. My backgrounds are corduroy and all the circles are mohair wovens but woven wools would be beautiful to use also.
