My starting point for this queen size version was a stack of handwoven Ikat fabrics from Uzbekistan. To fill out what I had in my collection I added a grand and colourful variety of solid coloured silks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTechnically this quilt is very easy to cut and stitch. It is made in a Quilt-As-You-Go style over narrow strips of batting fused with backing fabric. We start with small strips that we add to as necessary. The length and the width of the strips are arbitrary. The size of your quilt is also arbitrary.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI love my lustrous silks but cotton fabrics also work beautifully.
