Daisiez Quilt Pattern PDF

A very hip little block this one. Reminiscent of the sixties and flower power, if you want it to be, or just delicately pretty with a more subtle choice of fabric.

We start with the usual Stargazey style of working, with fabrics cut from simple squares and rectangles, then we get slashing and restitching. These crooked blocks are the easiest around. There are three blocks sizes to choose from; 6”, 8” and 10” square. I have pieced in the centrez but it would also be very effective to use a big button, yo-yo or even an appliqued circle for a slightly different look.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

This PDF quilting pattern includes full fabric requirements, cutting instructions and step-by-step assembly guidance. You may customise it to your desired quilt size.

Sample size - 48” x 64“ (122cm x 163cm)
Block & Border Backgrounds, Inner border - 6 yds (5.5m) of assorted greens
Daisiez & Inner border- 2 yds (2m) of assorted reds, yellows & pinks
Centrez - scraps in contrast to the daisiez
Binding - 1/2yd (50cm) of a green print
also needed; batting, backing and thread

With freeform blocks like this, fabric requirements will vary from quilt to quilt. I give you minimums only. Be generous with your purchases as extra can always be used in the backing.
