Cuppaz Quilt Pattern PDF

Come and have a cuppa with me and transfer one of my favourite occupations into fabric. Make your quilt milky, dark, sweet or just stir things up with a spoonful of Stargazey Style.

For these crooked cuppaz you are given a recipe but no templates – we start with simply cut squares and rectangles then you trim and design as you go. No exact 1⁄4“ seams or perfectly matched corners are needed in these blocks. My sample is made of 6” block grid and sections of 6” blocks in the border. You are also given the recipe for 4” & 8” blocks. Choose any size block, any number of blocks or a combination of sizes. Design your quilt to your taste! The handles here have been hand appliqued on, but other methods may be used- machine applique, rick-rack or bias tape for example.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

This PDF quilting pattern includes full fabric requirements, cutting instructions and step-by-step assembly guidance. You may customise it to your desired quilt size.

Sample size - 44” x 56” (112 cm x 142 cm)
Block backgrounds – 1 3⁄4 yds (1.6 m) of an orange print
Border backgrounds – 1 1⁄2 yds (1.4 m) of a pink print
Inner border – 1⁄4 yd (25 cm) of a multi-coloured stripe
Cupz, saucerz, rimz and handlez – 2 1⁄2 yds (2.5 m) of assorted stripes and spots
Binding – 1⁄2 yd (50 cm) of a multi-coloured stripe
also needed; batting, backing and thread

With freeform blocks like this, fabric requirements will vary from quilt to quilt. I give you minimums only. Be generous with your purchases as extra can always be used in the backing
