Guyz & Galz Quilt Pattern PDF

When I design patterns I like to be able to use different block sizes so that I, and others, can choose the correct proportion for each project. Alas, these Guyz & Galz told me instantly that they were special – not giants nor small – they wanted to stay ‘just right’ size. That suited me – I could expend energy on developing different ways to bring out their individual character instead. I’m now a Fashion Designer and a Body Builder!

So with this pattern we only have one size, 6” x 12”, but plenty of variations in hair and clothing style – and these changes are still just a starting point for you to play with.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

This PDF quilting pattern includes full fabric requirements, cutting instructions and step-by-step assembly guidance. You may customise it to your desired quilt size.

Sample size - 43” x 56” (109 cm x 142 cm)
Bodiez – 1/3 yd (30 cm) of a flesh tone print
Hair – a fat quarter of black solids or assorted prints
Clothez – scraps of colourful prints
Block Backgrounds – 2 yds (1.75 m) of assorted small blue prints
Background/sashing – 1 yd (1 m) of a blue print
Block borders & binding – 1 yd (1 m) of assorted coloured prints
Border – 1 yd (1 m) of assorted large blue prints
also needed; batting, backing and thread

With freeform blocks like this, fabric requirements will vary from quilt to quilt. I give you minimums only. Be generous with your purchases as extra can always be used in the backing.
