Kitez Quilt Pattern PDF
Stargazey patterns give you permission to make something beautiful without needing to be perfect
This pattern contains two blocks, the Kitez block and a Tailz block. In my sample I wanted to make use of the secondary grid design formed by the strutz when lots of these kitez are grouped together – a less typically pictorial quilt. My tailz then formed a festive border.
Cutting and piecing is in the usual Stargazey template free and crooked style. Block sizes for both the kitez and tailz are 10”, 8”, 6” and the tiny 4”. The tailz blocks are rectangular, their lengths are planned to be double their width. These would be wonderful set in a myriad of ways; floating freely heavenward, medallion style with intermittent tail borders, or simply a bold graphic mix of blocks and tailz in a grid like setting.
