They are easily cut and sewn from squares and rectangles, with no templates and no perfect 1/4” seams required. Each block is unique. Choose which size blocks you will need, set them how you like and colour them to suit your loved one.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
This PDF quilting pattern includes full fabric requirements, cutting instructions and step-by-step assembly guidance. You may customise it to your desired quilt size.
Sample size - 44” x 56” (112cm x 142cm)
Block backgrounds - 31/2yds (3.5m) of assorted hand-dyeds - 10” (25cm) work well, OR 16 fat quarters
X’s and O’s- 11/2 yds (1.5m) of assorted black and coloured prints
Border - 1yd (1m) of assorted hand-dyeds, black and colours
Binding - 1/2 yard (.6m) of assorted black & white fabrics
also needed: backing, batting & thread
With freeform blocks like this, fabric requirements will vary from quilt to quilt. I give you minimums only. Be generous with your purchases as extra can always be used in the backing.
