Flower Power with Daisiez

These letters originally arrived in stamped envelopes with glossy, printed photos (remember those days!). To protect our writers' privacy, we've typed up their notes with minor details changed. We also scanned and brightened the original photos so you can see the quilts in their best light.

Roberta from AB, Canada shares her '60s-inspired Daisiez quilt, complete with custom embroidery and beading. The back brings a message of peace.

Dear Jan,

I have made your Fishez and this Daisiez quilt. I love the '60s, so I beaded and did a bit of embroidery on this quilt, plus the appliqué 'Make Love NOT WAR.' I doubled the large Daisiez and made the back. Hope you like it.
