Four beautifully quirky quilts

These letters originally arrived in stamped envelopes with glossy, printed photos (remember those days!). To protect our writers' privacy, we've typed up their notes with minor details changed. We also scanned and brightened the original photos so you can see the quilts in their best light.

Martha shares her exhibition quilts along with an exciting request to teach the Handbagz pattern to a new class.

Dear Jan,

I enjoy making quilts from your patterns and am enclosing 4 pictures of quilts I have made. These quilts were displayed in our Quilt Show held here last weekend.

Everyone enjoyed the quilts and I have been asked to teach the Handbagz. I have been unable to locate the Handbagz pattern for my students. Do you have a supplier in Canada from whom I can purchase 10 of your Handbagz pattern?

You may notice the handbags and hats patterns come together in Martha's inventive quilt.
